CRECY SHOOT ENJOYED BY ALL

This novel shoot took place on a gloriously sunny day in September and proved to be extremely popular with all that took part. The Club has received numerous letters from archers that shot expressing how much they enjoyed it.

The Club will definitely be holding the shoot again next year and so make sure that you have it pencilled into your diary.

Tony Jones has written an amusing account of the day that should appear in the next edition of Archery UK.

Photos of the day are in the Gallery and a commemorative CD may be obtained by reading the details here.

As usual, the results may be found on the Tournaments page.

10 END CHALLENGE

Don't forget about this little bit of fun now that we have moved back indoors! Tony and Pete always ensure that there are plenty of score sheets available and it makes it more interesting if there are more entries. See the latest results here.

INDOOR SHOOTING

It's nearly that time of year again! Indoor shooting will start as follows;
Thrybergh - Tuesday - 7.30 - 9.30 from 15th September until 27th April
Aston - Thursday - 7.00 - 9.00 - All year round
SHU - Friday - 7.00 - 9.00 from 25th September - 11th December

LONGBOW TEAM RETAINS HORN

On a gloriously sunny 20th April in Morley, the Chantry longbow team retained the Salmesbury Horn at the St Georges Day shoot. Well done to the team consisting of Brian Maude, Colin Hope, John Ferrier and Bev Young.  All are pictured above being presented their prize by the Mayors of Morley and Wakefield respectively. Well done also to Brian Maude who came second in the shootout for the Royal Armouries Golden Arrow and to Jason Davis who came third in the shootout. See more photographs in the Gallery and the full set of results here.

CLUB HELPS LOCAL CHARITY

Chantry Bowmen helped out at Lord Scarborough's beautiful Sandbeck estate again this year in aid of the charity Safe@Last. Once again, the archery proved to be very popular with the clay pigeon shooting fraternity and interest in joining the club was quite high. There are more photos in the Gallery.
